Well my thanksgiving was awesome. I hope everyone else's was the same. Seth and I went to his family's thanksgiving first and I had a great time hanging out with his cousin Micah and Mary and Eli. They had it at his aunts house which is right above her store/ massage place and I cannot wait for her to open the store because I am definitely shopping there. Its gorgeous!!! Mary and I browsed and everything there was so pretty.
After Seth's we went to my house and my cousins and family were all there. I got to see my cousin Jason whom I don't get to see very often anymore. So that was nice that him and everyone else got to meet seth who I'm betting will be around for a long time ;D. But anyway everything was great and my life's going well. I hope the same for everyone else. |

Omigosh I've finally gotten a chance to post about this weekend. Friday I spent most of the night organizing everything for Sunday.
Saturday Seth, Matt and I went to the Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin and Seether concert. It was AMAZING!!! There was another band called Red but they weren't that good. So when Seether came out as an opener I wasn't expecting much but they rocked out! Then Breaking Benjamin sounded awesome. Three Days Grace are like my heroes and they could do no wrong. Just plain amazing!! Then when we came out to the car we got to watch some bootleg t-shirt sellers get arrested and that was hilarious.
So then Sunday was insane. I had planned a huge Surprise party for Seth's b-day. I stressed out waaaaayyy too much like I always do when i'm planning something. I got up at 9:30 and ran arounnd like a crazy person picking people up and supplies. Seth thought that i was having a family gathering so he was totally surprised when he walks in and a ton of his friends shouted "SURPRISE!!" The party was great though, we had a bunch of tvs and video games, a hilarious game of apples to apples, and I bought a Magic the Gathering Booster Box or whatever its called so the guys had a big Magic tournament. It was so much fun and definitely the longest party I've ever thrown. It went from about 1:45 in the afternoon and we left at 2 am. It was really kewl to get everyone together from Anderson and Greenville. It was such a good mix of people that everyone seemed to get along great and have a good time. Not to brag but Seth really knows how to pick great friends. Matt Mcpherson and Justin Jessel both helped me out so much. Not to mention Mary keeping me calm all day. It was just the perfect weekend. Thanks Guys!!! :D |

Happy Halloween everyone!
I haven't updated in forever mostly because my life has been pretty eventful these past couple of weeks. I've been to Charleston, Scarowinds, seen Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D and had a wonderful time! Seth is the best boyfriend ever. I love the feeling that I'm not wasting my weekends or my free time. We've always got something planned and sometimes it gets crazy but its always fun.
I'm loving my job at Marble Slab now that I've finally been promoted to Shift Leader (whoo hoo! 50 cent raise :D) and I just got an A on my last Logic test which is awesome!! Life's going well and I'm having a great time at USC! :D |

I'm coming home to greenville tonight. Hopefully i'll get to see everyone I've been missing. *sigh* its really good timing too. I don't really want to go into it but please keep the Cothran family in your prayers. I've been up to visit them a couple of times and this whole situation is so sad.

So i've completely start over w/ my college life and am now in Columbia at USC. Its been an interesting jump. USC is huge!!! I'm liking the fact that i can walk anywhere i wanna go and that this place offers such a great variety of experiences. One thing i'm not loving so much is the fact that USC didn't accept about 18 hours of my previous course load dropping me to a sophmore, but i am contesting it for at least enough hours to get me back up to junior status.
Other than that I got a great job at the Russell House (pretty much the main center of activitely/ cafeteria, kinda like the Student center being connected to the cafeteria being connected to the bookstore, yea awesome) wow longest run on parenthesis ever! lol. I'm working at the Marble Slab!!! **estactic giggles** No i haven't cleaned out their entire supply of Double Dark Chocolate quite yet, working on it tho. ;D I've already made a couple of friends there, and I'm loving having a set wage.
Oh and I'm going easy on myself classwise this semester. I'm taking:
Sociology of Crime- MWF 1:25-2:15
History 111- TTh 9:30-10:20; F-3:35-4:25
Chinese Film- M 2:30-5:30; W 7-9
Logic- TTh 2-3:15
Hahahahaha that's right I'm taking Logic. Believe me, not my favorite class. Oh and Chinese film is a riot. First off, I thought maybe we'd watch Hero or House of Flying Daggers since they've won all those awards and they're freakin' amazing. So the first day of class the teacher talks about how much he dislikes those movies....greeeaattt...at least i'm pretty sure that's what he said. His accent is so hard to understand but you can get most of it so I think i'm in the clear. Then next class we watch a movie called Yellow Earth that's apparently a big deal, (i was not impressed but whatever) and his TA is teaching and we have no idea what he was saying because of his accent and also b/c he'd forget and lapse into Chinese. So we're all just staring at him as he keeps asking us questions and apparently to make things clearer he starts writing the answers on the board......in chinese....So Amy needs to learn Chinese apparently.
Oh another great thing here is that they have free movies in the movie theater at the Russel House. Sarah, They're showing Reign On Me the 20-23 of September and you definitely have to come up and see it again w/ me. I'll get us Football tickets. *waves imaginary tickets* Yea that was definitely one of the weirdest changes. What's the big freakin deal about the stupid football team? Our Quarterback is apparently a moronic punk that can't stay out of trouble. I don't understand why he's still on the football team if that one guy from Borat got kicked out of a Fraternity for being drunk and this idiot has assault charges and can't go to class? Oh oh i have to tell you my favorite quote from the "Daily Gamecock" (our school paper) the reporter said and I quote "Its one thing for him to disobey the law but to disobey the coach!" Oh yes, I forgot that the legal system of our country is second to whatever a leader of a sports team has to say. I about died laughing when i read that. Wonderful objective journalism.
Anywho I am definitely waaaayyy tooo wired but i need to attempt sleep therefore I shall try to write again sometime. Pshhh as if anyone reads this! Hasta Luego |

YAaayyy!! So i finally got a job in greenville. It was hilarious. It took about 30 minutes for the manager to be able to talk to me during which i had a fun conversation with the hostess, Madison. Then he came and got me to sit in a booth, left again for another 15 or so minutes. After that we talked for about 2 minutes and he told me to come back on monday to meet the general manager and then i'd start training on monday.
YAY! JOB! i'm happy about it and i also got a gym membership so i'll have somewhere to work out. The gym's got a rock wall too!! :D

And it really made me think. I'm going to be a cop. I've also got a personality that i would willingly die in the place of anyone else, even an enemy. But who would i be willing to live for? To die for someone is a split instant choice. Its those ten seconds or so you have to jump in front of a bullet or to put yourself between the person and harms way. To live for someone is a choice you make every second of every day. Who or what would you live for? |
